Chicago Fire SC forward Mike Magee looks like a dead ringer for Bradley Cooper, so it’s a bit odd that KICKTV chose to produce an homage to “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off” rather than something based on “The Hangover”. Nevertheless, the resulting mini film makes for some fine entertainment.

Soccer fans will recognize Seattle Reign’s Sydney Leroux smoldering in the girlfriend role, and LA Galaxy’s Omar Gonzalez as the best friend. Other footballers making cameos include Thierry Henry, Hope Solo, Bruce Arena, Frank Yallop, Clint Mathis, Michael Bradley, Dwayne De Rosario, Marco Franco and Benji Joya.

ANYONE, ANYONE?

Ferris Bueller’s Day Off was the 10th highest grossing film of 1986. The film left its imprint in popular culture with a number of iconic scenes, none of which have withstood the test of time as well as Ben Stein’s enactment of a droning high school economics teacher. While 30 Rock fans will recognize Judah Friedlander reprising the role in the spoof, here we present the original clip.

“In 1930, the Republican-controlled House of Representatives, in an effort to alleviate the effects of the... Anyone? Anyone?... the Great Depression, passed the... Anyone? Anyone? The tariff bill? The Hawley-Smoot Tariff Act?”
— Ben Stein, as economics teacher in Ferris Bueller
