Natasha Bure, the daughter of former NHLer Valeri Bure, landed a coveted spot on The Voice with a highly-stylized performance of Elvis Presley’s classic “Can’t Help Falling in Love”.
Adam Levine turned his chair for Natasha, making the bright-eyed 18-year-old the penultimate selection on Team Adam. Joining Natasha under Levine’s tutelage, are singers Riley Elmore, Andrew DeMuro, Billy Gilman, Brendan Fletcher, Bindi Liebowitz, Elia Esparza, Simone Gundy, Nolan Neal, Johnny Rez, Jsoul and Ponciano Seoane.
BURE FAMILY TREE
Natasha (and younger brothers Lev and Maksim) form the latest branch on a family tree laden with famous folk. Natasha’s grandfather, Vladimir, won four medals swimming for the Soviet Union at the 1968, 1972 and 1976 Olympic Games. Her Uncle Pavel — known as “The Russian Rocket” — played 12 seasons in the NHL and was named to the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2012.
Just this past week, Natasha gushed in posting a video clip of Drake sporting her uncle’s jersey at a recent concert. Alas, to the chagrin of Calgary fans everywhere, she mistakenly assumed his Flames jersey was a Canucks one.
Natasha’s father himself was no slouch on the ice. Valeri played 10 seasons in the NHL including stints with the Montreal Canadiens, Calgary Flames, Florida Panthers, St. Louis Blues and Dallas Stars.
Valeri married Natasha’s mother, actress Candace Cameron of Full House fame, in 1996. Natasha’s maternal uncle is actor Kirk Cameron who starred in the popular 80s series Growing Pains.
