Veteran NBA on TNT sideline reporter Craig Sager died at the age of 65 after an extended battle with acute myeloid leukemia. His final months saw the realization of a couple cherished milestones. In June, he worked his first NBC Finals game for Game 6 between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Golden State Warriors, and in October his beloved Chicago Cubs won their first World Series in more than a century.

SUITED FOR THE JOB

While Sager inspired countless others with an unabated zest for life throughout his cancer treatments, he’ll probably be best remembered for his technicolor wardrobe that might best be described as circus-clown chic. Plaids, paisleys and polka dots of all colors were combined with reckless abandon.

BASKETBALL PAYS TRIBUTE

Sager’s TNT workmates stopped to remember their friend yesterday, while basketball stars from Dwyane Wade to Chris Paul paid tribute on Instagram…

#RIP Craig Sager. You lived your life full of love and full of fun. That's how you live your life.
