Cricket fan Mitchell Schibeci transforms into Watermelon Boy at Big Bash League match

Most superheroes transform in private to keep their everyday identities secret, but not 10-year-old cricket fan Mitchell Schibeci. In plain view at a Big Bash League match at Melbourne Cricket Grounds, Mitchell metamorphosed into Watermelon Boy when he ate one of the massive fruits — rind, seeds and all.

Naturally, social media being what it is, it didn’t take more than a few hours for the #WatermelonBoy meme to be trending on Twitter.
