Interim featherweight champion Conor McGregor mixed in some old-school/freakshow training for his upcoming UFC 194 match with Jose Aldo. The 5’9″ 145-pound Irishman did some bare-knuckle sparring against Iceland’s 6’9″ 400-pound Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson,

Björnsson plays the role of Gregor “The Mountain That Rides” Clegane on the fourth and fifth seasons of Game of Thrones. McGregor managed to stay alive and keep his skull intact against the real-life giant, which is better than GoT’s Oberyn Martell faired.

Earlier in the year, Björnsson claimed the title of Europe’s Strongest Man 2015 in Leeds, England, after waddling about with a VW shell on his shoulders, clean and jerking a piece of timber multiple times, and lifting a series of massive stones atop barrels.
