Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning set sports bloggers abuzz last season with a quirky sprinkling of “Omaha” added to his snap counts. In the Packers playoff victory over the Cowboys, Aaron Rodgers one upped Manning by interjecting an even more enigmatic “New York Bozo” in his line-of-scrimmage call.

Naturally, Rodgers strange incantation inspired all sorts of theories as to who the New York Bozo could be. Most concluded it must have been a sly dig at Chris Christie who had become something of a buffoonish fixture in the Cowboys’ luxury suite. The only problem is Christie hails from New Jersey and not the Big Apple.

Rodgers played coy in his press conference as to the motivation for the odd utterance.
